Magento 1 - Compatible with both Lengow platforms

From May 1st, 2023, this hybrid plugin will no longer retrieve orders.
You must install the latest version of our plugin following our instructions.

This guide is for "hybrid" merchants, who use the old and the new Lengow platform together.

✅ This Lengow plugin is compatible with Magento versions from version 1.7 until 1.9. Magento1 changelogs are available here.

Contact our Support Team or use the Magento extension to download the plugin.

Please note that hybrid plugins cannot connect to Lengow solution directly. They are not managed like the V3 modules (those dedicated to the new Lengow platform).
To connect your product catalog to Lengow, you must use the suggested export script. All the information is in this dedicated section.

Lengow strongly recommends to migrate to Lengow V3 platform and use the updated plugin for Prestashop. Contact our Support Team for more info.

Configure this URL with the indications available in the sections below before implementing it in Lengow.

In this area, you can configure your products catalogue export settings. It is divided into 4 parts:

3.1 Global settings

Configuration---System---Magento-Admin-_-Chromium_015.png

  • Product type to export: you can select product types to export (configurable, simple, bundle, grouped or virtual).
  • Status of product to export: limit your export to active products, inactive products or both.

3.2 Data

  • Select attributes to export from parent products for child products
Attributes values from parent products will be filled in automatically for child products.
  • Level max for category: indicate the maximum depth of the breadcrumb trail of a product category.
  • Stock without products ordering: when enabled, this feature decreases stock for products which are about to be ordered on your website (e.g. products in cart).
  • Convert data: when enabled, special characters are replaced with HTML characters. This avoids encoding issues.
  • Keep html for the selected fields: selected fields will keep the existing HTML. Otherwise, they will be cleared out.

  • Save feed on file: enable this option if your catalogue contains many products (more than 3 000) or if your catalogue takes a long time to be generated. Your catalogue is then saved in a /media/lengow file in your Magento. Note: if you use a file, it is important to enable the scheduled task to keep it updated.
  • Active cron: launches export every 4 hours. This option is useful when the "Save feed on file" feature is enabled, as it keeps your file updated. This option uses the Magento CRON system.

3.4 Product attributes

Tick the concerned products, then select "Change Lengow's publication" near "Actions" and "Submit".

You can also view your export feed (or generate the file containing your catalogue) by clicking on "See the export feed" on the right. This feed will be retrieved by Lengow as your products catalogue. It will be then imported and sent out to your channels.

Your products catalogue URL always appears as follows:

www.your-shop.com/index.php/lengow/feed (replace "your-shop.com" with your Magento domain name).

4.Set up channels orders import

4.1 Set up your import

Configure your orders import settings:

visuel-en-4.png

  • Enabled store (important!): enable the store(s) to export. It is also possible to enable all shops by default.
  • Import orders from x days: define the period on which you want to import orders. If you want import orders which have been placed over the past 5 days, simply enter the value "5". Orders which were already imported are saved in your database (so that orders are not saved several times).
  • Use the real date of import's order: when enabled, the date of order will be the same the one on the marketplace. Otherwise, the date of import will be considered.
  • Import processing fee from Marketplace: when this feature is enabled, marketplaces fees (commissions) are included in orders. This simplifies your accounting processes.
  • Customer group: assign customers created during import to a specific customer group.
  • Import with product's title from Lengow: enable this option if you want that your products names remain the same as on the marketplace, instead of keeping the product name which has been matched in Magento. Please check imported SKU to avoid stock issues.
  • Split name: enable this option when a customer entered his first name and last name on one same information line.
    • for example, if the information line first name is empty, whilst last name contains "John Smith" and the "Split name" option is not enabled, then customer profile will appear as follows:
      • first name: __ last name: John Smith. "__" are added to fill in empty fields.

  • Activate the currency conversion of your orders
All orders imported into Magento will be automatically converted into the currency chosen in Lengow.

6_2_gestion_commandes.png

6_2_gestion_commandes2.png

5. CRON Tasks and Magento

Magento integrates a tasks manager. Thanks to this system, the Lengow plugin can suggest scheduled export and import options.

Create a CRON task on your server to use this system: it is recommended to execute the cron.sh or cron.php script (in your Magento root) every 5 minutes. This task aims at creating, scheduling and executing tasks which were defined by plugins and Magento applications.

6. Logs

In the "Lengow" > "Logs" tab, you can access the Lengow extension logs. When you encounter a problem with orders import or your catalogue creation, please read these logs first to understand the issue.

You can permanently delete all logs by clicking on Flush logs.
