Decathlon is updating its taxonomy with a new "Apparel, Footwear, Accessories" category. The former "Apparel" category will be permanently removed by Decathlon on 1 September 2026.
What is changing
The current "Apparel" category is being replaced by a new one: "Apparel, Footwear, Accessories".
Since 12 May 2026, the new taxonomy has been available in Lengow. Both taxonomies will coexist during a transition period until 1 September 2026, when Decathlon will remove the old category.

What you have to do in Lengow
Categories
For any of your categories mapped to an "Apparel" category, you must re-map these categories to the newly created "Apparel, Footwear, Accessories" category before 1 September 2026.
For your new products, do not use the old taxonomy anymore. Make sure to add new products directly to the new taxonomy.
Attributes
Mapping new categories will display the corresponding category-specific attributes in the "Attributes" section.
There are no new mandatory attributes. On the contrary, the overall number of attributes has been reduced by 65%.
Action Required: Ensure all category re-mapping is completed prior to 1 September 2026 to prevent publication errors when Decathlon removes the old taxonomy.
