You can refund or partially refund orders directly from your Shopify back office. The information will be automatically sent to the marketplace.
Steps to refund an order
1. Go to Orders
In your Shopify admin panel, navigate to Orders > Orders and open the relevant order.
2. Click “Refund”
At the top right of the order page, click the “Refund” button.
3. Enter refund details
Type the number of units to refund for the product(s).
You can also refund shipping costs, up to the maximum shown.
4. Fill in your refund reason
Enter the refund reason. The "refund reason" field is a free-text input. You have to manually enter the correct refund reason using the appropriate wording or code expected by each marketplace. Please find attached below a list of accepted values for the major marketplaces.
5. Click on “Refund”
Once ready, click the refund button.
