As of May 2024, eBay is blocking active content such as JavaScript in listings.
Make sure to remove active content from the description of all products on eBay.
What you have to do
Existing products
eBay will contact you if active content is identified in your listings. You may also check if your listings contain active content using eBay's active content checker
To read: eBay's Javascript policyÂ
In Lengow, the "Description" attribute of products identified as containing active content must be modified to remove it.
Otherwise, the modification of existing products with active content will be blocked by eBay starting July 29th, 2024. Then, active content won't be visible in listings starting August 30th. From September 30th, affected listings may be ended or hidden by eBay.
New products
If you try to create a new listing containing active content, eBay will send the following error message on the affected product: "Disallowed JavaScript/HTML Syntax".
In such a case, make sure to remove the active content from the "Description" attribute in Lengow.
Otherwise, new products with active content will be blocked from publication by eBay starting May 27th, 2024.

Please refer to the recommended actions and important dates below:
- [...] Stop creating new listings with active content, including modifying listing templates.
- Remove active content, including inline javascript, from existing listings [...] Search the Item.Description field for active content to identify affected listings. [...]
