Amazon is evolving its technology, and so is Lengow!
In the coming months, we will be transitioning from the current Amazon channel using XSD technology to a new and improved Amazon channel powered by Amazon’s Seller Partner API (SP API).
What is changing
Amazon has announced that it will be phasing out the old XML/XSD connector in 2025. The new SP API will replace the previous technology, requiring all merchants to migrate to continue selling on Amazon.
The new connector will provide the following enhancements:
✅ Faster Product Publication: More efficient attribute management and validation.
✅ Improved Error Messages: Easier troubleshooting with clearer explanations.
✅ Automatic Updates: Stay in sync with Amazon’s latest requirements.
✅ Reduced Feed Configuration: Only two types of channels will coexist (Listing Loader and the classic Amazon channel), as the Flat File channel will not be needed anymore. Note: your Flat File channel will be migrated to a classic Amazon channel.
Next Steps: Release & Migration plan
We intend to gradually deliver and migrate the different Amazon channel types available in Lengow.
📅 Lengow's estimated deployment schedule is as follows:
- Mid-March: Any newly created Listing Loader channel will be using the SP-API technology.
- Last week of March: We will progressively migrate the existing Listing Loader channels to the SP-API technology.
- Beginning of April: Any newly created classic Amazon channel will be using the SP-API technology.
- Mid-April: We will progressively migrate the existing classic Amazon channels to the SP-API technology.
- End of April: We will progressively migrate the existing Flat Files channels to the SP-API technology.
What you will have to do
For merchants with active Amazon channels, Lengow will duplicate your existing Amazon configuration into deactivated channels, to ensure continued smooth operations.
You’ll need to review the new channel and its configuration, deactivate the old channel, and activate the new one.
We are committed to making this transition as seamless as possible and will provide detailed guidance in due course.
Stay tuned for further updates!
