How variations work
Allegro manages variation by relying heavily on its internal product catalogue rather than API creation.
1. Automatic grouping via GTIN
When you send an offer through Lengow with a GTIN (EAN) that already exists in Allegro's catalogue, the platform identifies the product and automatically links your offer to the correct variation group.
2. Configuring variation attributes in Lengow
Attributes used for variations are clearly identified in the Lengow mapping structure with a "variant attribute" label.
Certain attributes must have the exact same value across all variants of a single product (e.g., "Condition").
Read the attribute description (the "How to fill in this value?" box) in Lengow. It will explicitly state what is expected.
Limitations
- API Restrictions: It is no longer possible to create entirely new variation groups directly via the Allegro API through Lengow.
- New Products: For products that do not yet exist in the Allegro catalogue, automatic grouping might not trigger.

Manual Resolution: If your variants are not grouped correctly on the marketplace, you must contact Allegro support directly and ask them to manually link the variations together in their back-office.
