Before launching a new marketplace, placing an order yourself allows you to test the integration of orders in your e-commerce platform or via API.
This process completes the standard test orders created in Lengow's sandbox.
Follow these steps to create a live test order on a new marketplace:
1. Import your catalogue
If you are using a new source catalogue, start by importing it into Lengow (in the production environment, not the sandbox).
You don't need to import the catalogue if you are already using the same catalogue for another channel.
2. Publish a few test products
Decide on a few products you wish to publish as a test, and follow these steps to publish them:
- Add the marketplace channel of your choice in Lengow.Â
- Proceed with a limited configuration of this channel, by mapping one category (at least the one where your test products belong) and setting up the attributes.
- Exclude all products except your test products.
- Establish the connection to the marketplace by entering your API credentials.
3. Place an order on the marketplace
Go to the website of the marketplace on which you published these test products.
Place an order by credit card directly on the marketplace, as any customer would.Â
Finally, check that this test order is correctly integrated into your system.Â
