🔧 Amazon - Error "A value is missing... [UnitCount = "1.0"], [unit_count_type = null]"

Amazon error message (example):

A value is missing in one or more of the required fields in this group: [Message/Product/DescriptionData/UnitCount = "1.0"], [unit_count_type = null]

What does this error mean?

These two attributes work together and must be filled out together. You need to complete both "Product..DescriptionData..UnitCount" and "Product..DescriptionData..PPUCountType".

While these fields are not mandatory, leaving them empty can lead to errors, so we recommend completing them when it's necessary.

Solve and prevent this error:

Follow our instructions to complete these attributes:

  • PPUCountType [unit_count_type]: If the product being sold has a measurement in units that influences the customer’s purchasing decision, the "unit_count_type" describes this unit of measure. The values to use here depend on the Amazon country feed.
The list below is sourced from Amazon Seller (see source):

  • UnitCount [unit_count]: This is the total number of units within the package that the customer will receive when they place a single order.

Example:

The product being sold is a pack of 6 bottles of milk on Amazon UK:

    • "PPUCountType": enter the value "count"
    • "UnitCount": enter the value "6"
