Amazon Error Message
The SKU "XXX" already exists on other Amazon marketplaces. Use a new SKU and resubmit your listing.
What does this error mean?
This error (Code 100398) occurs when Amazon detects a conflict with a SKU that is already being used on another marketplace (country).
This generally happens if:
- You are attempting to use a SKU that is already associated with a product on another Amazon store.
- You are reusing the SKU of a deleted or closed offer. Amazon often retains the SKU history associated with your seller account, even after the offer has been deleted.
How to fix it
Follow this step to resolve the conflict and publish your product:
Modify the SKU:
Add the country code as a suffix to your current SKU (for example, add _PL for Poland), and then resubmit the offer to Amazon. Tip: You can easily automate this modification using a Rule in Lengow.
⚠️ Still having trouble?
If you are unable to modify your SKUs, you will need to open a ticket with Amazon Seller Support. To help speed up the resolution, make sure to provide them with the following details:
- The SKU in question.
- The ASIN (if it already exists).
- The Amazon country where you are trying to publish the product.
- A screenshot of the error message.
