To improve its onboarding, Zalando is designating 18 material-related attributes to become mandatory, whereas they were previously "mandatory if applicable".
New optional attributes will also become available, and others removed.
What you have to do in Lengow
In Lengow, make sure you complete the newly required attributes before 15th April 2025 (previously 1st March 2025, postponed by Zalando).Â
Non-compliant products will be rejected after this date.
The main change is that even if these attributes do not apply to your products, they must now be filled in with the corresponding value, as they cannot remain empty:
- If you are using Zalando Multi-country, select "not applicable" from the value list, and set the material percentage to "10000" (= 100% in Zalando format).
- If you are using Zalando Single-country, enter in uppercase "NOT_APPLICABLE|10000" for each material related attribute listed below.
If the attribute does apply to your product, you must provide the actual material and its percentage.

Example: You are selling a linen jacket without filling.
- If you are using Zalando Multi-country, enter these values in the "material.filling" attributes:
- material_code = "not applicable"
- material_percentage = "10000"
- If you are using Zalando Single-country, enter in the "filling" attribute: "NOT_APPLICABLE|10000"
