You may encounter the error message "Category could not be identified" on your report, even though your category mapping in Lengow appears to be correctly configured.

This issue is typically linked to a conflict between category mappings made in Mirakl and those configured in Lengow.

Why this error occurs

This error usually happens when the category mapping has been started manually in the Mirakl back office, only for certain products, and not properly finalized.

As a result, Mirakl’s partial or outdated mapping may conflict with the one pushed from Lengow, triggering the error.

How to fix it

To resolve the issue:

  1. Log in to your Mirakl back office.
  2. Navigate to the category mapping section.
  3. Check if there are any existing manual category mappings.
  4. If so, delete these mappings to avoid conflicts.

Once these manual mappings are removed, the conflict will be resolved, and the error should disappear in the next report.
