📣 La Redoute - News - September 2026 - Mandatory VAT Fields Changes

As part of the preparation for the future international rollout of its marketplace, La Redoute is introducing a major update to its Offer feed structure. The new Value Added Tax (VAT) fields, which support cross-border commerce, are already available in Lengow. However, starting in September 2026 (we are currently waiting for La Redoute to confirm the exact date; please do not hesitate to contact them directly if needed), La Redoute will make these fields strictly mandatory in the marketplace Offer feed.

Important Notice

These changes apply to all merchants selling on La Redoute through Lengow. Even if you only operate in France and do not plan to sell internationally, all new VAT attributes will become mandatory in the feed structure.

What is Changing?

La Redoute is updating the Offer feed to require 8 VAT fields corresponding to specific target markets across Europe. From the official go-live date onward in September, these fields will become strictly mandatory.

  Risk of Feed Rejection

If your feed mapping is not updated to include these mandatory fields, any attempt to create or update offers on La Redoute will fail. Your Offer feed will be rejected.

Detailed List of VAT Fields

Below is the complete list of VAT attributes, including the standard French VAT field ("vat"). Because the marketplace requires these fields in the feed header structure, they must all be mapped, regardless of your active selling countries.

Code Label Description Example
vat vat (%) Applicable VAT rate in France 20
vat-be VAT BE (%) VAT rate applicable in Belgium 21
vat-lu VAT LU (%) VAT rate applicable in Luxembourg 17
vat-it VAT IT (%) VAT rate applicable in Italy 22
vat-es VAT ES (%) VAT rate applicable in Spain 21
vat-de VAT DE (%) VAT rate applicable in Germany 19
vat-nl VAT NL (%) VAT rate applicable in the Netherlands 21
vat-ch VAT CH (%) VAT rate applicable in Switzerland 8.1
vat-pt VAT PT (%) VAT rate applicable in Portugal 23

What You Need to Do in Lengow

The new VAT values are already added in Lengow, but they will become mandatory in September as per La Redoute's requirement. We highly recommend completing your mapping now so your feed is fully compliant before the official go-live.

  1. Go to your La Redoute channel within the Lengow platform.
  2. Open the Attributes Mapping step for your Offer feed.
  3. Locate and map the 8 new VAT attributes (vat-be, vat-lu, vat-it, etc.).

Mapping Best Practice

If you sell in any of these new countries, map the appropriate VAT rate corresponding to your products.
If you do not sell in these countries, you must still configure these attributes. We advise mapping a static value of 0 (zero) for the countries where you do not operate, or you can simply map the standard VAT rate applicable for that country (as shown in the table above).

How La Redoute is Handling Existing Offers

To ensure a smooth transition and prevent active offers from being unpublished during the switch, La Redoute will automatically set the value of the 8 new VAT fields to 0 for all existing published offers on the day of the migration (initialisation).

However, once the migration is complete, any new offer or update sent via the feed must natively contain these fields to be successfully processed.
