📣 La Redoute - News - 21st February 2024 - Switch to "pay on acceptance"

This change was planned on 14th February but has been postponed by La Redoute to 21st February.

La Redoute is switching to the "pay on acceptance" workflow in Mirakl, instead of "pay on
shipment".

Orders will therefore have to be accepted within 24 hours, or they will be canceled.

What is changing

On La Redoute's website, customers will now be debited as soon as the order is created, and no longer upon shipment.

For merchants, this means they will have to accept orders within 24 hours (instead of 72 hours). As a consequence, refunds will be the only option to not fulfill an accepted order.

In order to be aligned with this "pay on acceptance" Mirakl workflow, Lengow is enabling "refund" actions to be done at the Lengow "waiting_shipment" status.

Note: In the communication sent by La Redoute, it is explained that canceling an order isn't possible anymore. However, this was not possible through Lengow, so there is no change on this matter.

What you have to do

To adapt to this evolution, we recommend:

  • Activating the automatic order acceptance, in order to make sure orders are accepted within 24 hours.
  • Adapting your settings if you retrieve orders via API or through an e-commerce platform.

Original message

We would like to inform you of changes to our Mirakl Marketplace that will take place at the
beginning of 2024.

We thank you in advance for taking note of these changes.

What changes are we talking about?

We're changing our strategy for managing customer payments: but what does this mean for you, Marketplace sellers?

In a nutshell:

  1. Customers will be debited as soon as the order is created, and no longer upon shipment.
  2. As a seller, you will now have to accept orders within 24 hours (instead of 72 hours). After
this time, orders awaiting acceptance will be automatically cancelled by the platform. We
recommend that you switch to automatic acceptance.
  3. All orders will now be on the "Pay on acceptance" workflow in Mirakl (instead of "Pay on
shipment"). As a result, and as the customer will be debited as soon as the order is placed, it will no
longer be possible to cancel an order received by the platform after February 13, 2024, and only
refund actions will now be possible.
  4. There will be no impact on your own vendor payments.

[...] We thank you in advance for your understanding, and please do not hesitate to contact your Account
Manager if you have any questions.
