📣 Bol.com - News - 27th October 2026 - Delivery promise and eligibility requirements for international sellers

To ensure a seamless shopping experience for customers across the Netherlands and Belgium, bol has outlined specific eligibility criteria and delivery timeframe requirements for international sellers. Before onboarding or updating your feed configuration in Lengow, review the requirements below to verify your business eligibility and logistics setup.

Important onboarding notice

Do not initiate the onboarding process or configure live catalogue feeds on bol before verifying that your organisation meets these core seller and logistical conditions. Failing to meet them may prevent account approval or cause store deactivation.

1. International seller eligibility criteria

To register and sell on bol as an international merchant, you must fulfil all of the following business and support requirements:

  • Company Registration: Your company must be legally registered in the European Union (EU), the United Kingdom, or China.
  • VAT Number: You must hold a valid VAT number registered in an EU member state.
  • Regulatory Compliance: All products and business operations must fully comply with Dutch, Belgian, and EU consumer and product regulations.
  • Performance Standards: You must maintain bol's required service levels and high customer satisfaction scores.
  • Multilingual Customer Service:
    • Telephone support must be provided in English.
    • Email customer support must be provided in Dutch.

2. Delivery Promise & Fulfilment Conditions

bol requires international sellers to commit to tight, dependable delivery windows for all shipments destined for consumers in the Netherlands and Belgium.

  Mandatory Delivery Window

Deliveries must reach the end consumer within a maximum of three business days. Consequently, the delivery promise defined in your Lengow feed must not exceed two to three business days.

To consistently respect this delivery timeframe, international merchants can choose between several fulfilment models:

  • Logistics via bol (LvB) or Certified 3PL: Outsource warehousing and shipping directly through Logistics via bol or partner with an official bol-certified third-party logistics provider (3PL) to manage local dispatches.
  • Regional Warehouse / Direct Operations: Ship from your own facilities or an established hub located in the Netherlands, Belgium, or Germany capable of ensuring reliable transit to destination addresses within the 3-day limit.

Required actions

  1. Verify seller eligibility: Ensure your legal registration, EU VAT number, and multilingual customer service capabilities comply with bol's prerequisites.
  2. Configure delivery attribute : In your Lengow bol feed, verify the "Fulfilment – Delivery Code" attribute mapping. Ensure the configured delivery value strictly reflects a delivery promise of no more than two to three business days.
  3. Audit carrier performance: Ensure your chosen carriers and shipping routes consistently meet the delivery promise to protect your seller performance indicators.
