Zalando Multi-country - Product attributes overview

On Zalando, product attributes are organized into three levels, as shown in the diagram below:

  • product_model: The highest-level details that apply to all options and variants of the product, such as the model name, target genders, or age group. Ex: Cool Shoes
  • product_config: Mid-level details such as color and season. Ex: Color Blue
  • product_simple: Attributes that describe one specific product for sell. Ex: Size 42

There is a relationship of one product_model to one or many product_configs, and each product_config includes one or many product_simples, as shown in this diagram:

In the Attributes mapping in Lengow, you will find the corresponding attributes:

  • "Product Model ID": Indicate here the name of the model (or the parent ID for variations). Ex: shoes-110
  • "Product Config ID": Indicate an intermediate identifier, such as the product ID associated with the color. Ex: white-shoes-110
  • "Product Simple ID": Indicate the SKU or another unique ID (other than EAN). Ex: white-shoes-110AA
  • "EAN": Indicate the EAN code of the product.  The EAN code should not be sent in any other attribute, so that it is not considered as a duplicate by Zalando.
