On Zalando, product attributes are organized into three levels, as shown in the diagram below:
- product_model: The highest-level details that apply to all options and variants of the product, such as the model name, target genders, or age group. Ex: Cool Shoes
- product_config: Mid-level details such as color and season. Ex: Color Blue
- product_simple: Attributes that describe one specific product for sell, such as EAN, SKU, ID and the size code of each EAN. Ex: Size 42 or EAN XXXXXXXXXXXXX
There is a relationship of one product_model to one or many product_configs, and each product_config includes one or many product_simples, as shown in this diagram:
In the Attributes mapping in Lengow, you will find the corresponding attributes:
- "Product Model ID": Indicate here the name of the model, or the parent ID for variations. For simple products, enter the product ID.
- "Product Config ID": Indicate the parent ID for variations. For simple products, enter the product ID.
- "Product Simple ID": Indicate the product ID (SKU).
- "EAN": Indicate the EAN code of the product. The EAN code should not be sent in any other attribute, so that it is not considered as a duplicate by Zalando.
Zalando's article mapping guide summarizes the mandatory information for each category.
