In Lengow you have the option to activate data retrieval to enhance your product information. Make sure that the data access permission is up to date in the Lengow app.
Activate the following Shopify data options to retrieve extra product and filter data:
- "Export Product Metafields": Product metafields are specific to parent and simple products.
- "Export Variant Metafields": Product variant metafields are specific to each variant of the product, such as size or color.
- "Export Locations": Location in Shopify refers to the specific physical or virtual places where products are stored, managed, and shipped. These locations allow you to track and manage inventory and fulfill orders from multiple places, such as stores, warehouses, or suppliers across different regions.
This setup is especially beneficial for businesses with complex logistics, helping you streamline order management and maintain accurate stock levels across all locations.
-
"Exclude out-of-stock products": Filter out-of-stock product to only import product that can be sold into Lengow. This filter checks the value of the "inventory_quantity" attribute. When this option is enabled:
-
Products with some variants still in stock will continue to be exported.
-
Products where all variants are out-of-stock (and inventory tracking is enabled) will be excluded from export.
-
Products with no inventory tracked will still be exported.
-
-
"Exclude Archived products": Filter archived product so no longer relevant product won't be imported into Lengow.
-
If a product that was already exported becomes archived, it will no longer be updated in Lengow.
-
If an archived product is reactivated (status changed to active or draft), it will be automatically added back during the next sync.
Once saved, filters and export settings apply when your catalogue is first synced AND automatically to all future catalogue updates. -
Note: By default, this custom information is disabled, allowing you to select which items to enable as needed before proceeding.
Make your selection and click "Next" to continue.
Depending on the options activated the following screens will appear:
- In the "Product metafields selection" step, choose the desired attributes by selecting or unselecting them, then click "Next" to proceed.
- In the "Variant metafields selection", choose the desired attributes by selecting or unselecting them, then click "Next" to proceed.
- In the "Locations metafields selection", choose the desired attributes by selecting or unselecting them, then click "Next" to proceed.
Note: In all above cases, the selection is limited to 50 metafields.
Then, in the "Settings Validation" step, you are reviewing the details of your synchronization setup before finalizing it.
In this screen are displayed:
- The total number of products that are about to be synchronized between Shopify and Lengow.
- The types of product information which will be synced:
- Native Product Information: This includes basic Shopify product details like title, price, description, etc.
- Product Metafields: Additional custom information for each product, such as extra attributes you've selected.
- Variant Metafields: Specific details related to product variants (like size, color options, etc.).
- Locations metafields: Data on location (such as a store, pop-up, headquarters, or warehouse).
You may go back to a previous screen to adjust your selections if needed.
Click "Next" to confirm the settings and proceed with the synchronization.
Finally, complete the "Initial product attributes mapping", to map your Shopify fields with the standard "Lengow Fields".
Once this mapping is complete, your Shopify catalogue will be ready for use within Lengow.
