To successfully publish your products on Temu, it's essential to map your catalog data accurately to the marketplace's required attributes. Below, you'll find everything you need to easily map your fields, handle image requirements, and stay compliant with Temu's rules.
Multilingual Auto-Translation
When listing products, you can input information in other languages. The system will automatically identify the language used based on the title you input and translate it into the corresponding language for each market. For example, if you list products in French on a German store, the system will recognize the French title and translate it. When consumers view the product in other languages, the text will automatically be displayed in their language.

Item Tax Code (ITC)
The Item Tax Code (ITC) represents the recommended tax code under a category.
- Default Settings: If you do not provide ITC information, the system will automatically fill it in based on the default ITC you have set in your Temu Seller Center. The specific default value is determined by your own choice.
- Mapping in Lengow: Fill in this attribute in Lengow to apply a specific tax code for the category. You can view the suggested tax code for the given category directly within the description field in Lengow.
Note: To find out which exact tax percentage corresponds to each ITC value, you must check your Temu Seller Center.
Brand & Trademark Rules
Temu requires clear identification of whether a product is branded or generic. If neither attribute is correctly filled, your product will be rejected as invalid. You must choose one of the following paths:
- If your product has a brand: You must map the Brand field. In Lengow, this is a free-text field, but the value you map must exactly match a brand that already exists and is authorized in your TEMU Seller Center. If you are selling a new brand, you must request its addition and wait for Temu's approval in the Seller Center before publishing your products.
- If your product is unbranded/generic: You do not need to fill in the Brand field. Instead, you must map the No trademark attribute and set its value to "true". (Note: By default, the No trademark attribute is configured to "false" meaning Temu expects a brand unless you explicitly update this to true).
Image Ratios & Size Charts
General Image Requirements:
- Format must be JPEG, JPG, or PNG.
- Maximum file size is 3 MB per image.
- Depending on your product category, additional media may be required (e.g., product manuals, nutrition labels, energy labels).
Temu enforces strict media rules based on the category type of your products. Your category selection dictates the image requirements:
-
Apparel / Fashion :
- Carousel Images: 3 to 10 images required. Ratio 3:4 (Minimum 1340 × 1785 px).
-
Size Charts: The image for your size chart will be shown to consumers and must meet the following criteria:
- Quantity: 1 image
- Format: jpeg, jpg, png
- Aspect Ratio (width:height): ≥ 1:3
- Width: ≥ 800px
- Height: ≥ 800px
- Size: ≤ 3 MB
The image will be displayed to consumers as shown below:
-
Non-Apparel :
- Carousel Images: 3 to 10 images required. Ratio 1:1 (Minimum 800 × 800 px).
Auto-Carousel Tip
TEMU automatically builds the product carousel by taking the first image of your first SKU, and then appending the rest. Never leave SKU images empty, as this will break your product listing's media display.
Video Guidelines
The ability to upload a video is currently incoming and not yet available.
Publishing vs. Sellability (Compliance)
On Temu, a product can be successfully created in the catalog ("Published") but remain blocked from being sold ("Not Sellable") due to missing compliance or regulatory data. Ensure the following compliance conditions are met:
- Origin Region 1: This field is completely sell-blocking. It must be filled with the correct ISO 2-letter country code for your offers to become sellable.
- Conditional Attributes: Selecting certain values (e.g., "Contains Battery") will instantly trigger new requirements. Child technical attributes will either become mandatory or become available (but not mandatory). Always review product errors to ensure no conditional attributes are missing.
- Real-Life Photos: Highly regulated categories require 1 to 6 authentic photos taken directly by the merchant.
RSGP Configuration
Please note that compliance with RSGP (General Product Safety Regulation) requirements must be configured directly within your Temu Seller Central.
