Key Category Rules
- One category per product: You can only assign a single category to each product.
- Category locking: Once a product is published, its category is permanently locked and cannot be modified.
- Approval requirements: Some categories require prior TEMU approval. Once you are approved on Temu, the Lengow structure synchronization follows.
- Impact of your selection: The category you select strictly determines your required Attributes, Variations, Compliance data, and Media requirements.
Category Restrictions & Errors
Some product categories on Temu are restricted and require explicit approval. To sell in these categories, you must submit an access request directly to the Temu marketplace.
Restricted Categories in Lengow
Please note that some restricted categories may still appear and be selectable within the Lengow platform. If you try to publish a product in a restricted category without first requesting and receiving authorization from Temu, the product creation will fail.
In such cases, errors will be shown directly on the affected products within your Temu Seller Center (they will not appear in Lengow). You will encounter this specific error message: "The current category of the product does not match the product information."
