Before your products can be published on marketplaces and marketing channels, Lengow needs to understand the information in your catalogue.
The catalogue mapping is a common structure that connects your catalogue to all Lengow channels.
You map your catalogue once with the catalogue mapping tool. Then, when you add a new channel, Lengow automatically uses this mapping to fill attributes required by that channel.
This reduces the amount of manual mapping needed when configuring a new channel.
Supported channels
Automatic channel mapping will be rolled out progressively across our platform.
Feature availability
Automatic channel mapping is launching in a few days for the following channels:
- Amazon
- Leroy Merlin
- Octopia (all channels)
All other channels will follow and become available progressively in upcoming releases.
Step-by-Step Configuration Guide
Follow these steps to successfully map your catalogue.
Step 1: Welcome, let's set the foundation
Define your catalogue structure once and let Lengow carry it across every channel.
Step 2: Map your attributes
Each row links a catalogue attribute to a field from your imported catalogue. Required fields must be mapped before you can continue. Review Lengow's auto-suggestions here and adjust them manually if needed.
Step 3: Track your progress
Use the sidebar to jump to any specific business domain (e.g., Media, Shipping). Watch your completion update in real-time as you successfully map your fields.
Step 4: Preview your product
Switch to the Preview tab to see how a real sample product looks with your current mapping configuration. This acts as a quick sanity check to ensure your prices, images, and titles are populating correctly before you proceed.
Step 5: Continue when you're ready
Once all required fields are safely mapped and you are satisfied with the preview, you can validate the setup. Every supported channel you activate after this step will be pre-mapped, saving you significant time per launch.
Completed Configuration
Once the mapping is finalised, your catalogue dashboard will display a comprehensive summary of your data structure. Mapped attributes are locked in and ready for distribution, while unmapped optional fields remain visible should you wish to enrich your catalogue later.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to map all 70 attributes?
No. Only some attributes are required to validate your catalogue.
Can I change the suggested mapping?
Yes. You can edit any suggested mapping before or after validating your catalogue.
Will every channel be mapped automatically?
Automatic mapping is deploying first for Google, Facebook, Amazon, Leroy Merlin, and Octopia channels. Other channels will follow in subsequent rollouts. Please note that specific channel requirements or category-level fields may still require manual review.
